Some newer televisions can accept Audio/Video inputs for left and right audio signals and for video.

1. First, make sure your converter box is connected to a VHF-UHF TV antenna.

2. The Zenith DTT901 also includes a set of Audio/Video cables for connecting your converter box to a TV with the A/V inputs, also known as RCA-style jacks. Just plug the RED connector to the right audio jack on the back of the converter box, and do the same with the WHITE connector for the left audio signal jack. The YELLOW connector carries the onscreen video signal and plugs into the video jack.

3. Use the same color-coded connections for the TV set, plugging in left and right audio and the video connection.

4. Then, to see these signals, tune your TV set to the correct Video input (such as "Video 1" or "Input 1.")

To setup up the converter box after you have the cables connected, tune the TV to Channel 3 or 4 and turn on the power to the converter box with your remote control. You can use the menu buttons on the remote control to set the Language, Aspect Ratio (4:3 is ideal for most sets), and run a Channel Scan. The whole process takes less than a minute.

Then, you can set the time zone and you're ready to enjoy digital TV programming. From the menu button of the converter box remote control, you can add or delete specific channels and set favorites. Your remote control also has a button for a "what's on now" program guide, a signal strength button for repositioning your antenna to receive weak stations, and other functions like Second Audio Program access and even a sleep timer!
