The videocassette recorder (VCR) relies on a built-in analog TV tuner to record your favorite TV shows. With the transition to digital broadcasting, the built-in tuner becomes obsolete. So to keep using your old VCR, one option is to use the digital TV converter box as a source for home video recording by your VCR. The box converts digital TV signals to analog so your VCR can record them.

First, make sure the converter box is connected to a VHF-UHF TV antenna. Different VCRs have different inputs. There are two simple ways to connect the converter box to your VCR. Choose one:
